Off Campus is Prime Video's adaptation of the best-selling book series centred around hockey romance on and off the ice. The book series includes "The Deal", "The Score", "The Mistake", "The Goal", and "The Legacy". Prime Videos TV adaptation mainly pulls its source material from the first book of the series, "The Deal". This storyline mainly focuses on Hannah and Garrett's blossoming love story – but fans were extremely happy to also get snippets of Ally and Dean's story from the second book, "The Score" (arguably the fan favourite book of the series).

Hannah and Garrett
Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham are at the heart of the storyline during the first half of Season 1 of Off Campus. Thanks to their irresistible enemies-to-lovers dynamic, it's nearly impossible not to become invested in their relationship. Hannah is a studious, book-loving musician and songwriter, while Garrett is a hockey star who would rather spend his time on the ice than in the classroom. On paper, they couldn't be more different.
Despite their differences, the two form an unlikely connection when Garrett convinces Hannah to tutor him in a class he's in danger of failing. In exchange, he agrees to help make her crush jealous. What begins as a purely transactional arrangement soon develops into something much deeper as their feelings for one another begin to grow.

Hannah resonates with many readers and viewers because of her powerful journey following a traumatic experience with sexual assault and her path toward healing. Garrett's storyline explores the lasting effects of an abusive childhood and the emotional scars left behind by domestic violence. Together, they navigate these challenges, creating an unexpected yet beautiful relationship built on trust, vulnerability, and mutual healing.

Ally and Dean
Ally and Dean take center stage during the second half of Season 1, with a relationship built on secrecy, excitement, and what was supposed to be a simple no-strings-attached arrangement. However, things become far more complicated when Dean realizes his feelings run much deeper than a casual fling.
Ally's journey throughout the season focuses on embracing her newfound freedom after finally ending a relationship that had been holding her back. Meanwhile, Dean has a reputation as the biggest player on the hockey team and one of the most notorious womanizers among his friends. What begins as frustration and judgment toward Dean gradually evolves into something more when Ally finds herself drawn to him despite his flaws and countless red flags.

Fans were especially obsessed with one scene that seemed to hit every mark. During the Halloween episode, Ally dresses up as Jennifer Lopez, and Dean swoops in to share a dance with her (their first meeting). The cinematography, the dress, the music, the undeniable tension between them—it was perfection. It's the kind of scene that had viewers replaying it over and over again, and for good reason.
What follows is a whirlwind romance filled with secret rendezvous, luxurious penthouse getaways, and ultimately, heartbreak. Yet Ally and Dean's story is far from over. Their relationship is set to take center stage in the upcoming second season of Off Campus, leaving fans eager to see whether the pair can overcome the obstacles standing in their way.

What To Expect For Season 2
Fans are understandably over the moon following the recent announcement that Off Campus has been renewed for a second season, with Ally and Dean confirmed as the story's central focus. As a result, anticipation is already building among viewers eager to see the next chapter of their relationship unfold.

Season 2 will be based on The Score, a fan-favorite installment in the book series and one that many readers have been especially excited to see adapted for television. Fans are particularly looking forward to this season because Ally and Dean's story explores much more than romance. While Season 1 largely focused on the excitement, chemistry, and secrecy of their relationship, The Score delves into deeper emotional territory.
As a couple, Ally and Dean must navigate grief, loss, and personal struggles while learning how to build a healthy relationship together. Their journey tackles real-world challenges and mental health struggles, adding emotional depth to a love story that is about far more than attraction alone. If adapted well, Season 2 has the potential to deliver some of the most powerful and emotionally resonant moments in the Off Campus series.
And just in case you haven't already watched the 'Jlo On The Floor' scene 5000 times, here's a reminder of the dress that broke the internet.
