STUPID CO is back from a summer sabbatical with the ninth edition of Stupid Chats, its ongoing series on film distribution and the practical realities of independent filmmaking.
This September's session, EVENTIZING!, takes on a question more filmmakers are asking as traditional release paths narrow:
What else can a screening be?
Drawing on Stupid Co's CANNES DOGS and a range of recent inspirations, the conversation looks at creating bespoke events and moments for film, the kinds of gatherings that go beyond a theatrical screening followed by a Q&A.
Hosted live from BetaWave Studios in Los Angeles, the session welcomes filmmakers, artists, and industry professionals into an open, interactive discussion about designing the experience around the work.
