A major highlight of the VEGA H2's innovative design is its landscape-to-portrait versatility. The mount is manufactured to rotate rather than the body of the camera itself, supporting the needs of modern content creators. An additional framing tool is the 30fps Open Gate recording system, which preserves all image data for both horizontal and vertical cropping.
Its autofocus system also facilitates single-operator video production: the ToF sensor allows for a rapid, precise, hybrid AF; the F.I.Z. (Focus, Iris, Zoom) motor system enables users to pull focus remotely, improving the camera's overall accessibility.
Its interchangeable mount options are still limited as of now, with a native PL option for cinematic shoots, an AF-friendly EF mount, and an M mount. The camera's motorized drop-in filter system is constructed to be compatible with BOSMA's patented OVND™ filters.
The ALL-Intra video compression system allows high-quality imaging and faster encoding. This feature requires larger, heavier-duty storage cards, but results in high resolution and easier editing.
The camera is projected to officially release in the second half of 2026. Subscribers get early access.
