The team over at Deity Microphones were at NAB's 2026 showcase promoting the pre-order launch of their new PR-4 Audio Recorder. The audio technology company has established itself in the world of filmmaking as a company focused on delivering durable, efficient equipment at a very reasonable price point. Building award-winning audio equipment perfect for content creators, documentary filmmakers, and broadcast journalists.

Their newest product, the PR-4 32-Bit Float 4-Input Audio Recorder, is a compact field recorder built with flexibility and versatility in mind. This small, forward-facing audio recorder can be mounted to your camera or rig for a straightforward setup, making it easy to monitor your audio on set.

PR-4 offers a 32-bit float performance, which provides filmmakers with a very forgiving audio capturing and editing experience. This, along with 4 inputs for various microphones as well as 6 separate audio channels, gives you plenty of options as well as control when recording in those chaotic moments.

It also features an integrated fully wireless control through the Sidus App, giving you the ability to adjust levels, stop and start recording, and monitor audio levels remotely. And, with 8+ hours of rechargeable battery life with an external USB-C charging port on the side of the unit itself, as well as dual media availability, you can rely on the PR-4 to be ready when you need it to be.

All this and more results in an audio recorder that is perfect for filmmakers looking for a daily audio recorder workhorse on a smaller production where flexibility and dependably are invaluable. Because lets be honest, audio recording isn’t going to be everyones jam, but what we hear when we’re watching a video is just as important as what we see. And having the right equipment to make sure that your films sound as good as they look is a necessity.

In addition to the PR-4, Deity Microphones was also showing off their S-Mic 3 and its miniature counterpart, the S-Mic 3S. These ultra light, water resistant shotgun microphones are made from a durable aluminum alloy. Weighing in at just 80 grams, the S-Mic 3 won’t weigh your pack down, but it’s sturdiness and design means it won’t break during your shoot.

This, combined with technical features such as RF interference resistance, high sensitivity, and a 130 dB SPL ceiling, the S-Mic 3 delivers clean, dependable audio without constant tweaking. And a shotgun mic that’s perfect for a run-and-gun filmmaker looking for equipment that can keep up and keep working.
