Special Los Angeles Screenings | October 15 & 17

Filmmakers and storytellers in Los Angeles have the rare opportunity to see Champions of the Golden Valley ahead of its Oscar-qualifying theatrical run at Laemmle Royal (October 31–November 6). The award-winning feature documentary showcases how sport unites a resilient mountain community in Afghanistan — a moving portrait of perseverance, teamwork, and hope.

Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai and actor Arian Moayed (Succession, Nobody Wants This) serve as Executive Producers, alongside Doug Blush (20 Feet from Stardom). Since premiering at Tribeca, the film has screened at over 50 international festivals, earning 35 awards, including 16 Grand Prizes.
